Organized in 1979, SCUPSO supports university-based public service institutes in their efforts to assist state and local governments on a range of issues including: healthcare, welfare reform, and urban sprawl. SCUPSO facilitates networking, information exchange and collaboration among its 40 member institutions. SCUPSO's strategic focus is aimed at improving policy decision-making through quality research and technical assistance, while promoting best practices and leadership skills among government officials and administrators.
